BURNABY, BC — July 7, 2026 — CCM Canada (Chinese Christian Mission of Canada) announced today that it is partnering with the Canadian Red Cross to launch an emergency relief appeal for communities affected by the devastating earthquake in Venezuela.
The earthquake has caused significant loss of life and widespread destruction, leaving thousands of families in urgent need of food, clean water, emergency shelter, medical care, and other essential humanitarian assistance.
To unite the compassion and generosity of Canada’s community in support of those affected by the Venezuela earthquake, the Canadian Red Cross has established a dedicated online donation portal for CCM Canada. Donations are also welcomed in person at any of CCM Canada’s five service centres across Canada.
“Through our partnership with the Canadian Red Cross, we hope to mobilize churches and communities across Canada to provide practical support while standing alongside the people of Venezuela with hope and faith. We also invite everyone to continue praying for the victims, relief workers, and the long-term recovery of the affected communities.” said CCM Canada.
Alongside this relief effort, CCM Canada remains closely connected with its overseas mission partners serving in Venezuela and the local Chinese community. In the coming weeks, CCM Canada will continue to share updates from the region, inviting churches and supporters across Canada to stand with those affected through generous giving and united prayer for the disaster-affected communities and their recovery.
