Vancouver, May 14, 2025 — Chinese Christian Mission of Canada (“CCM Canada” in brief) is deeply shocked and saddened by the tragic incident that occurred in Vancouver following the Lapu Lapu Day celebration on April 26.

In response to the urgent needs arising from this tragedy, the Canadian Red Cross has launched the “2025 Vancouver Lapu Lapu Day Appeal” to support those directly affected. CCM Canada has immediately joined efforts with the Canadian Red Cross to raise donations that will assist individuals and families impacted by this devastating event.

Funds raised through this campaign will go toward addressing the immediate and future emergency needs of those affected, as well as supporting the recovery and rebuilding of the community. With its extensive experience and trusted presence in communities across the country, the Canadian Red Cross is well-equipped to manage relief funds and deliver critical support during times of crisis.

Financial assistance is the most effective way to help those impacted by the tragedy. We encourage everyone to contribute to the “2025 Vancouver Lapu Lapu Day Appeal” through the Canadian Red Cross. With the Red Cross’s proven systems and experience, your donation will provide timely and meaningful aid to families and individuals coping with the aftermath of this tragedy.
