為何我要支持加拿大中信？

有一次，我與人分享加拿大中信的事工時，一名年青女子問我：「為何我要支持加拿大中信？」她這一問，引發我深思良多，得出一點反省，且讓我與你分享三個原因──為何你要支持加拿大中信。
1. 加拿大中信在本國的華人宣教機構中，可算擁有最全面的宣教策略：分別在耶路撒冷(城市宣教)、猶太全地(小城宣教)、撒瑪利亞(海外宣教)，直到地極(文字宣教)，作耶穌基督的見證。在卡加利、溫哥華和滿地可設立的「中信中心」，透過服務接觸到不同階層人士。五省中成立的小城服務隊，定期前往未有宣教士到過的地方去宣揚基督的愛。在中美洲及東南亞亦可找到中信海外宣教士的?影。中信的福音刊物《中信》，遍及世界每一角落，甚至是那宣教士不能到的地方。
2. 加拿大中信正計劃把宣教工作拓展至跨文化宣教。大部份華人宣教機構關注華人的福音需要，但中信在43年多前所寫下的使命宣言中已明言──「福音傳華民，恩澤遍萬邦」。神為加拿大的華人教會賜下雙文化和雙語的第二代，他們滿有恩賜和事奉心志，亦預備投身宣教事奉。我們與這一群年青人接觸，培訓他們成為基督的門徒，亦期待一天把他們差派到萬邦，在海外的跨文化工場為神作工。
3. 加拿大中信敢於創新嘗試，不墨守成規，一直追求裏外更新。過去數年以來，我們的確作了很多大膽嘗試，為要把基督的福音傳至萬邦，但這亦為我們招來了不少誤解和批評。幸而我們都熬過去了，亦在檢討中有所成長。承認了錯失，我們就繼續向前。今日，我們擁有一群又忠心又熱心的同工和義工，彼此並肩同心事奉，富創意地把福音傳開。
我邀請你考慮在經費上支持加拿大中信，也在禱告中記念我們的事工。每次當你看到「中信」二字、中信的徽號或中信刊物，請你花點時間為我們祈禱。最重要的是，我鼓勵你參與加拿大中信的事工──好叫你在「福音傳華民，恩澤遍萬邦」的使命上有份。
Why Should I Support CCM Canada?

One day, while I was speaking about the ministry of CCM Canada, a young lady asked me, "Why should I support CCM?" That really got me thinking and after deep reflection, I would like to share with you three significant reasons why you should support CCM Canada.
1. CCM Canada is perhaps the only Chinese mission in Canada that has a particularly comprehensive mission strategy: to bear the witness of Jesus Christ to Jerusalem (through Urban Mission), to Judea (through Rural Mission), to Samaria (Overseas Mission), and to the ends of the earth (Literature Mission). Our CCM Centres in Calgary, Vancouver, and Montreal focus on reaching people from all walks of life. Our Small Town service teams cover five provinces to bring the love of Christ to remote towns and villages where no missionaries have previously reached. Our overseas missionaries are serving in Central America and in Southeast Asia. Our "Chinese Today" magazines are found in all corners of the world and in places where no missionaries have been able to go.
2. CCM Canada is beginning to expand our mission to include cross-cultural missions. Most Chinese mission organizations tend to only target the Chinese. However, CCM's mission statement-written some 43 years ago-states that we are "Reaching the Chinese to reach the world." God has prepared within the Canadian Chinese churches gifted and dedicated second-generation Chinese who are bi-cultural and bi-lingual, and who are ready to be involved with missions. We are connecting with, training and discipling these young people, and we look forward to commissioning them for foreign mission fields in the coming years.
3. CCM Canada is innovative. We are consistently transforming from the inside out. In the past few years, we have taken a lot of risks in order to present our Christian faith to the world. That has brought some misunderstanding and criticism, but we have weathered through and improved. We have made some mistakes but have accepted them and moved on. Today, we are a strong team of dedicated staff and volunteers, serving side by side, so that the gospel can be presented in a clear and creative way.
I invite you to consider supporting CCM Canada financially. I covet your prayers and hope that you will pray for us each time you see our name, our logo, or our magazines. Most of all, I encourage you regard the mission of CCM Canada as worthy of your personal involvement-to be a part of "Reaching the Chinese to reach the world".
